Welcome To The
Collin-Fannin County Medical Society
Website
Your Collin-Fannin County Medical Society can help make it easier for you to practice medicine in Texas and in our area. I believe we can do this by joining together and becoming stronger, larger, and better organized. When physicians work together, everyone wins.
Collin-Fannin CMS started some 150 years ago. We have remained independent and successful because of our devoted volunteer physician members' input and grassroots efforts. As president of our society, I need your help as we launch a new chapter in our long and storied history. This is your official invitation to be a part of organized medicine by joining the Collin-Fannin CMS and Texas Medical Association.
This year, we wish to embark on a more aggressive track to provide better representation and more local benefits and services, and we need your support.
Here are just a few things we are working on now:
· A regional, secure, Internet information exchange to make it easier to track and treat our patients.
· More local programming, practice management seminars, and CME.
· 2009 Texas Legislature: Prospects for Healthcare, an event with our local senator and representative.
· Local networking and social events that allow members to communicate and connect with peers.
· Regular communications and opportunities for feedback that help member physicians study and recommend action on issues of the day, provide thoughts about society goals, and suggest new services.
· Leadership opportunities to help us achieve our goals.
I invite you to join today! To apply online, visit www.texmed.org.
